My girlfriend and I had a fairly good stay at the super 8 in RM 221 on May 14. We arrived to the hotel late at night and were pleasently surprised by how nice and helpful the staff was. The staff gets a 5/5 rating from us. However, the shower curtain rod is not the right shape for the type of shower they have. The shower curtain is also too short to stay in the tub. So due to the odd shaped shower curtain rod and the short shower curtain, significant water was able escape the shower and when I stepped out of the shower I slipped and fell. I reported the incident to the front desk and the attendant was extremely polite and understanding. I am willing to change my rating once they improve the shower.
This room is definitely no frills. The girl at check in was super friendly and the lobby area is nice. The room is tidy and clean. This is a good place to stop for a night or two to tour the area and you're just looking for a place to sleep. The breakfast was sort of lacking.
My family stayed at the Valemount Super 8 for one night. Check-in was very friendly and exceeded expectations. The pillows and shower were excellent. Everything else was mediocre at best. It's an older hotel with a few updates but could definitely use more. Breakfast was sub-par and did not meet our previous Wyndham expectations.
Room was clean, definitely in need of an update, price is way to high for what it is. Side doors left unlocked all night no cameras, in theory anyone could wander in. I would look for somewhere less expensive, almost $150 more than kelowna for a lesser room.
Decent hotel, but with painfully slow wifi and no available Ethernet ports in the room. When staying for a night, slow wifi is fine. When staying for a few weeks at a time, being able to load Netflix or use FaceTime would be nice. Could possibly look at updating their speeds a bit.
